I know that you write here with a focus on the business of lawyers, but just about all of your advice would be well heeded by anyone. This one is a case in point: what you say here applies equally as well to a technology project.
As a systems engineer, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard a customer say something along the lines of, “I want this thing to do all this , I don’t want to pay more than this , and I want it soon .”
